If you are interested in your future profession and you are willing to cooperate with us, please, read carefully following text. Following text is about ideas, as we hope interesting for students of physiotherapy. You can choose one or more of those ideas, start to work on it (gather information, inform other students in our Bulletin or on the notice boards at school, etc.). A few hours of your work could bring you much. It is fundamental to collect as many contacts as possible and to get students to be informed about every professional opportunity

It depends only on you, what you choose to work on. We can~t organize or assign that work. But what we can do is to collect the information you gathered and to approach it to other students. We hope many people working together can do a lot of good work, even if one persons work is only a small piece of mosaic.
Two or three students or even whole class groups can deal with one problem. Some of those problems could be used as a theme of your dissertation (for example one Japan student contact us – his dissertation concerned about students´ sections within different national professional associations of physiotherapists)

Themes:

  1. Association and intercommunication of students of physiotherapy in Czech Republic. One student from each school should communicate with the UNIFY CR and subsequently dispense information among students. This student should establish at least three-member working group. Group meets once per 2-3 month and its main tasks are to formulate the most important problems and wishes of students, to offer attractive information to other students and to work on the basic structure of students´ organization: class representative, school representative, students´ section committee.
  2. Communication with international students´ association. Collecting of e-mail addresses and regular communication. Attempt to share information with abroad organizations. Actively join attempts to establish the International association of students of physiotherapy.
  3. Cooperation with the Students committee within CSP. CSP is a professional organization in Great Britain. The UNIFY CR concluded the contract of biennial cooperation. On demand, CSP will send any materials. Contact their members, visit them or organize common meetings is also possible. We cooperate in different levels, but between students of both countries the cooperation has not been established yet, although in England 100% of students are members of association. This cooperation offers many opportunities (study in England, speak and learn English, etc.). Of course, this cooperation brings also some obligations (communication with coordinators from both countries, sharing information, at least one year lasting activity). Simultaneously with establishing of cooperation with the CSP committee we attend to establish cooperation between faculties, and so the cooperation not only between students but also between teachers will be possible.

  4. Presentation of information on web pages and on school notice boards. Such a student will cooperate with team providing web pages of the UNIFY CR. Such a student will watch www pages, gather new information, he or she should be in active contact with other students. He or she will modify and subsequently present new information on www pages or on the notice boards.
  5. Cooperation on creation of section “Not only for students...”
  6. Organize meeting of students of physiotherapy. Try something similar to meetings in England. For the first time it could be only Prague meeting, later maybe national or international meetings. Natalie Beswetherick, the president of British organization, narrated that last year meeting, including sports weekend, was organized by only one student. There are many of auditoriums in Prague, so probably it could be easier to organize something. To increase attraction of program, interesting lectures or bourse of information could be parts of program. Outside Prague, there are better possibilities for sports or informal parts of program.
  7. Work on current problem of students of physiotherapy (comment conception of education etc.) The theme requires somebody indomitable, with great support from people around. There are a lot of current problems and nobody comments them (enclosure of VOŠ, obscurities about after-school practice and question of attestation). Results of this work are not resolutions of those problems, but the main tasks are to call attention, to gather information, to insist on answers and in this way help to solve problems.
  8. Bridging program and questions of VOŠ. The theme is interesting especially for students. The goals are to collect and to present students´ opinions, to cooperate with members of the committee and working group Education and by return inform students. Student interested in the problem should mediate information between schools and people working on the "bridging programs”.
  9. International students´ exchange stays, opportunity to study abroad (semestrial exchange, obtain a diploma on home and foreign university, PhD studies). Such opportunities already exist, and should be offered at as wide range as possible.
  10. Money. Opportunities to support national programs with money acquired from different grants and European programs (Phare, Erasmus, etc...). The goal is to help to realize particular ideas and present our results with the use of every possible means and resources offered by EU.
  11. Cooperation with the committee of the UNIFY CR, Mediation of dialogue between students and the UNIFY CR. Coordination of students´ activities. The student should participate on the UNIFY activities and report about them to other students. But also should inform the UNIFY about students wishes and ideas and activities. Mail address of such a student is published in Bulletin, on notice boards.

If you are interested in any of themes, please contact the UNIFY office and you can get some more information. Unhappily we are not able to collect all information and to spread them between students. If you want to help us, please start with:

  • Gather information about students and for students,
  • Watch carefully the UNIFY CR notice boards, Bulletin and www pages,
  • Become a member of internet conference of the UNIFY CR,
  • If you find an interesting information (about studying opportunities, etc...) spread it on,
  • Communicate via e-mail, express your opinions.
